OK, since I got my van back from the mechanics a few weeks ago it's been
making noises at startup. You can hear the fully mastered stereo digital
recording at http://tinyurl.com/27275w , just scroll down and click on
"Todays Engine Noise".  It sounds like noisy lifters. The noise will go away
after a few minutes but its there when I start it up every morning.  The
last oil change I did was 5-30 Mobil 1 synthetic in the fall. I cannot
guarantee that my mechanic has since changed it.


What's going on here. Is there an actual problem or do I just need a heaver
weight oil for the summer.
