Did the Hazards work fine before? Sounds like you may have bumped something loose while replacing the other part. Try to wiggle all the fuses and glance over the wiring in the area you where working in. I was having a similar problem recently after replacing my blinkers. Giving a wiggle to the fuses to insure they where seated correctly making a good contact fixed my problem.
