I don't think not having the lower grill opening is so bad at all, as long as it cools well enough in summer. After all, look at how small the grill openings are on many modern cars. Lower wind drag too.

I find it almost impossible to imagine that someone would install a WBX, but not cut a hole for a lower grill.

Could you imagine what the quality of the rest of the install would be like if they did?

Or maybe the rad is on the back hatch!
