This post got me to thinking of my old '80 Vanagon Westfalia. IIRC, it had a build date of something like 10/79 on the chassis sticker, so I assume it's a pretty early T3. For some reason I still have the title to the old beast, and this is the VIN # : 25A0008082 Anyone know how to read that VIN to determine its actual build date? TIA btw: Here's how it looked when last I set eyes upon rusty http://users.zhonka.net/zeitgeist/Misc/Grunt%20truck.jpg On Mon, Apr 14, 2008 at 2:19 AM, Max Wellhouse <dimwittedmoose@cfu.net> wrote: > > He claims it is the 4th oldest Vanagon westy in the United > States(most likely the 4th rustiest one also, but we're not dissing > the gift horse here). > |
