While trying to stuff the fuel system seems to be an accomplishment it is a silly thing to do. Most fuel stations have tanks in the ground which will tend to keep the gasoline cool. Stuff our tank and eliminate all the air space and then heat it with engine heat or hot pavement and where does that expanded fuel go? Does the vapor recovery system wonders. Foul up those gravity valves on top of the Syncro fuel tank and you get the extra bonus of dropping the tranny and tank. Is that extra gallon really worth it?

Someone once told me that elevating the passenger side wheel makes it easier to fill your syncro. I always try to orient my van at the pump with at least the back end higher than the front, but if possible I'll park diagonally to get that one wheel higher than the rest. If my van is particularly empty I've often put MORE than the advertised 70L / 18.5 gal. Now yesterday I was practically running on fumes when I filled up. I ended up putting in 75.043L / 19.82 gal according to the pump which seemed like quite a bit over capacity, I'm just wondering what everyone's largest fill up was...

Christopher
