I like the response about taking her camping. Go somewhere scenic and do all the planning and cooking. Nothing like sitting around a campfire with a cold beer and just relaxing. Word of advice - don't take her on a VW camping outing with a hundred other campers the first time. Then she will have to do all the work because you can't stop taling about your vanagon, motors, accessories, gas mileage, etc ad nauseum. Not a way to endear a girlfriend or wife to a VW. Can't wait for my husband to finish his conversion. Looking forward to our trip to the Ozarks and future trips to the Smokey Mountains, Outer Banks. We even are comtemplated a trip to Hawaii and renting a camper (Washington perhaps as well). Would love to drive out west but time is a factor. Something to look forward to in our retirement. BTW kids love the camper. Especially sleeping in the top bunk.
