I agree with Maggie.Just wanting one puts you on the bus called "Leaving
Normal".
The world as you know it changes when your worldly desires are
focused on acquiring an old small German road home
When you are called to own one of these the
die is cast. (Twilight Zone them playing in background)
Six years ago I visualized owning one and wished one into my life.
Within a month I owned one and within 5 months had quit my job
and was sitting around a evening campfire at a free BLM campground
somewhere near the Lake Havasu airport waiting for Buses by the Bridge.
The company was excellent.
A fine group of eccentrics who, for one reason or another, have chosen
this fine German piece of machinery.
To kick the habit would be impossible.
I would have to go to Vanagon Anonymous.
Good evening my name is Bernie and I'm a Vanagon addict.
When I think of hitting the road in my bus I break out in a sweat
and I need the road very bad.
It started with one road trip thats all.
Just a road trip.
Then another and another.
More miles, longer trips and different destinations.
Then I didn't even need a destination I just had to be on the road.
It took over my life.
Then there is the constant feeding of the addiction with our addicts.
Talking about everything from engine conversions and oil to
coolant and tires. And boy do they talk!
The tire discussion alone put one addict into the madhouse!
Addict in Vancouver,
Bernie
