Just yesterday, I stopped by a fellow VW bus geek's house to discuss my impending king pins replacement on the 63 DC. I digress, in any event he was in his front yard talking to a nice looking woman w/ open towed sandals, very nicely groomed red toe nailed feet, & obviously trying to make conversation w/ my good looking/single/ intelligent bus friend(I know, I know that is an oxymoron). His driveway & house, which was clean, had a 88 Vanagon SC w/ Tilt, 66 double door camper, a 58 logoed standard bus, & the large garage behind was occupied by an og paint 60 15 window, a newly restored 60 DC, a nicely restored 58 walk thru DD panel, etc. Again I digress, but I am simply setting the scene for those that would appreciate VW buses/vans & ladies.

After we all kibitzed a while & the conversation drifted towards bus talk, the nice woman drifted off down the street w/ her cute black Daschund, Ginger, & we commenced to drinking imported Mexican beer & discussing our upcoming weekend camping trip in 1 of his buses & my 84 westy.

During the beer fueled conversation, my chick magnet buddy mentioned that when ever he needed to test a woman's interest in him, he would lead her down the driveway to see his buses, & invariably, she would lose interest once she determined he was a "gear head".

It dawned on moi that this was a very astute observation on my buddy's part as to his own vulnerabilities & yet his integrity as to who he was in real life.

If SO's can't tolerate your passion, or if you can't survive their lack of passion for your lifestyle, then they are probably not meant to be w/ youse?

YMMV,

Mr. BZ-wife wants to sell everything & live in the westy, just not w/ moi fulltime
