Hi all-- New to the list, being the new owner of a 1981 diesel single cab. It will be a project--mostly replacing the rusted bed (it had the wooden Westy wide-body, which trapped water underneath it...) and making or finding gates. For now, the turn signals are not working. The flasher relay is good (em. flashers work). There seems to be a ground-out someplace, as the (green) turn signal indicator glows dimly. The switch seems good: when engaged the indicator glows brightly, and when the connection to the switch is unplugged, the indicator glows dimly. I know I'll probably have to trace this, do some sleuthing, but I ask: Are there typical places where ground-outs occur? In addition, this truck was imported (I am the third US owner), and also has the European tow ball and wiring for towing. (Also, I believe the original importer is in the Bay Area. If you happen to be on the list, I have some questions for you. This truck is blue, was owned by a house painter in Germany, afaik.)
