Hi all. I studied the Jetta cooling system today and have a good handle on what flows where and have a general idea of how to adapt the system to my Vanagon. But.... Is there a substitute for this part (coolant outlet housing on engine head): http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/coolanthousing with an outlet for rad, (1 - 1/4") and only 1 outlet for standard 5/8" heater hose? The smallest outlet is 3/4" OD. I'd have to reduce to connect to 5/8" heater hose and plug one of the openings. The thought was to reduce the amount of splices and/or reducing parts. Flange opening to head ~ 1 - 1/16" x 1 - 5/16". Stud hole to stud hole: 2 - 5/8" OC. Narrow end on water pump side of head. A long shot, but I figured this is the place to ask! Thanks much! Neil.
