dear all ...
this whole discussion is leading toward those who say things are worse
arguing their point
and the things are not nearly as bad as they used to be arguing theirs
oh when i was young ... they used to buy gasoline with gold bars and
you had to pay in advance of the order being made ...
oy tell that to young fellers today and they dont believe you
... ...
well things are as they have always been ... monday i filled up the diesel
tank on my 89 california
75$ ... about three hours work ...
actually if time were turned back and i filled that same tank at ten cents a
gallon
when wages were ten cents an hour ... /1$ a day ...
it cost more in my dads day to fill up the tank ... a whole days wages
rather than three hours wages ...
18 years ago ... when sienfeld was new each week i used to dream about
making 50K a year
oh those were the days ..
tell young fellers about that today and they dont believe you
sigh ...
now if you want to talk about prices being out of order ... look at potatoe
chips
1$25cents for a smaller bag then i paid a nickle for ...
yours

There are two kinds of jobs in the world:
Picking up garbage and telling people things.
Successful people do both, with the same good attitude. (riw)
