Well, I really do get 21 mpg with my '85 1.9 Westy (certainly not the same as a 2.1 syncro) running at 63 mpg (by GPS). I'm using 185 14 Nokian Hakkapeliitta C2 tires. This is confirmed over many miles and several years. BTW, it only gets about 17 mpg with the O2 sensor disconnected. With that much difference, I'd say my AFM is somewhat maladjusted and the O2 sensor serves to compensate for it. Mike |
