Good to know. That confirms my suspicions that 3/86 and 1/85 and 2 aren't being used. (btw, 2 actually connects from ECU to "malfunction" light elsewhere) And for sure. I understand now. Fuse panel is made for more than one model. And yes of course "3" refers to where relay is located on fuse panel. That much I knew! --- ;^)

At one point I wondered if I was using the wrong relay! --- :^)

You've also confirmed that the relay only uses 3 pins. The + is wired internally from 30 to 85 and the ground to complete circuit to energize relay is from ECM and the other two are for power in from 30 and out to ECM.
