FYI,

Some listees have used plastic plates for fitting their SHURflo faucetts to the sinks.

I found a superior (IMO) part for installing the SHURflow faucett than the Door Knob Wall Protector. While the wall protector looked like it would work fine, because I could only find a grey one I searched on. Found a 'box gusset' in the electrical aisle, which needs no modication at all unless you wish to paint it chrome color. I bought two (one for the top and one for the bottom of the sink). Seems I grabbed two makes. I don't recall EVER seeing such an animal during my electrical work so you may need to source them at an electrical shop.

The True Value hardware ID is 40232. One was made by some outfit named Dottie with 1 1/4 x 1/2 on the perimeter. The second was made by GB (common electrical mfr) with 506 (GB's ID?) and 1 1/4 - 1/2 on the perimeter. Both were .99 centavos. Identical in design. A 1/16" shoulder just where it needs to be.

BTW, I'm sure there's a reason but the inner dia is 7/8" and the outer is right at 3" give or take.

Also, I'm sure when I discover the anodized material these are made from begins to rust I'll wish I'd used the plastic plate but for now . . .
