Several years ago I obtained a "NOS" Equus 9000-B cruise control unit, via eBay, and installed it into my '85 manual trans Westy. I love it! It is similar in installation and function to the Audiovox CCS-100. I installed a vacuum cannister at the same time so I don't know how well it would perform without it.

Just about any of the old "Universal type" cruise control systems can be adapted to a manual vanagon ... unless they were designed for automatic transmissions only. None were designed with a rear engine in mind so the kit's wires must be cut and extended to go to the front.

Mike
