Actually no, I figured it was getting no fuel so I listened for fuel pump when I turned the key and heard nothing. I then got my wife to turn key as I touched fuel pump and heard no noise or vibration, I then checked for voltage at fuel pump while wife turned key and found none. I then figured it might be a bad relay and since one is for the fuel pump and the other controls it I figured I may as well replace both as I has spares on site. Doesn't all this sound logical so far??? Since that didn't work and according to the workshop manual the ecu is very sensitive to electrical surges and I just finished recharging the battery, I thought since I had one handy anyway that I might try replacing it. I am a plumber and not a mechanic and that is why I am asking you experts for help with this problem. Now do you have any useful advice like what the proper step by step procedure aimed at finding the most likely cause would be.

Gerry

Is your preference a list of parts to throw at it in a shotgun style parts replacement repair approach or instead a step by step test procedure aimed at finding the most likely cause?? ? Mark? ? To my surprise... it turns over but will not start. It normally fires right up. Checked for voltage on the fuel pump and found nothing. Replaced the fuel pump relay and the other one beside it and still nothing. Had a spare ecu in the closet so I replaced that too figuring it may of gotten damaged while charging the battery but again nothing. Ran out of daylight and ideas. Anyone know what to try next?? > > Cheers, Gerry? > www.vanalong.com? > > ________________________________________________________________________? > Need a free e-mail account?
