I have a platinum-cat heater and like it. The only disadvantage would be that it doesn't stash out of the way as much as a propex does.It has to have some space around it. However it's nice radiant heat and is stingy in both battery power and propane. Mine was good enough for about 1-2 weeks of operation in cold winter weather in the -5 to 35ish range. A little bit of a home-grown site, but I've dealt with the person who manufactures them and he was great. http://www.ventedcatheater.com/2.html
