How much have you done to clean the by treating the oil with a hydraulic lifter cleaner/treatment. I'd keep doing that for a while. Eventually it could straighten itself out.

If you want to replace lifters without removing the head/s .......means you'd need to use a spring loaded pushrod tube wherever you replace a lifter. I have a set of those - but they leaked some. I don't trust them that much. Scott

I seem to have the reverse of most lifter problems - my lifters pump down when cruising at a steady 60 mph and higher, but pump back up after a few miles off the highway. One lifter in particular gets especially loud. What's going on? Do I just replace/adjust the lifters?

Chris S.
