What's your price range and how 'late model' a one are you thinking of ?
I'm hoping to get started soon on this 'modest westy' I have that will be
fore sale
( heck, it runs now, and you can buy it as is, but I want to do about a
hundred things to it to make it perfect . I prefer to have it so it could
leave for Alaska without any issues or problem
s when I sell something - I go through every last part on them ) 
and I don't want to be under the gun with someone waiting for it to get done
- that's exhausting - but......
I have an 83 'southwest red' westy with 4 speed trans, no AC, no PS, a
perfect tent btw..........definitely under $ 10K, well under 10K is the
planned price for it.  Oh, and 2.1 water boxer engine that's fairly fresh
too.

I've been shopping for a Westy, on-line, Samba & craigslist for the
most part. Limited to the west coast, but somewhere within a 12 hr
drive of Olympia WA would be best <g>.

I have been asking a lot of questions which means a lot of e-mails
and it's really getting hard to keep them in some type of order. I
guess there are worse problem to have.
The other problem is I won't be in a position to actually buy (if I
find one) until next month so this is truly 'shopping'.

That brings me back to having to sort the different VW's I've been
interested in, I really do try to keep them separate.  Craigslist ads
only last a week and they often get relisted and after awhile all the
VW's sort of look the same ... I don't want to ask the same dumb
question for than once per VW <g>.
I'll keep working on it...
