I am on the other end of this I have a 84 westy for sale and I know I am on the wrong coast to get that I think its worth As for them starting to look all the same I hear you So what makes one westy worth more than another? its not the milage alone or the or the conition of the body alone. Its a combination of its over all condition I have an add that list the many dollars of parts and the labor I have invested in it and people dont seem impressed by that they instead wind up buying something for 2/3rds the money that needs most of what they spent on it to get it in a condition that would aloww them to do what they want to do with it. I dont get that but I Do get the phone calls every day " I just bought a westy a few months ago and now I need an engine and all ther usual vanagon repairs. I always ask did you have a used car inspection done? and most have not but some had a friend look at it for them few actualy had the mechanic they would have work on it look it over before they bought it.

the first van mine has had all the mechanics done threw the second van has not what van do you want to spend the summer driving around in no slam intend or the other fellow van just tring to make a point of value and how to shop for a van Bob
