Hey volks,

Can anyone with an early model Westy tell me where the black lead (originating in the potted circuit board on the fwd tank wall) terminates on your van?

Neil1 was kind enough to send me schematics and it shows the black lead connected to the ground return. Problem: Mine is just hanging in midair and the end is clipped at an angle (as with dikes). One bloke on the Samba archives claimed his doubled back into the potted material (which is illogical based on my review of the circuit inside). All the hermaphrodite connectors on the tank probes are full and I don't see any broken connectors lying around anywhere. I'm planning to connect the black lead to ground soon because it's the next easiest troubleshooting step in my attempt to get power to my sink pump. I know, there's no reason the black lead shoud make a difference in me power for the sink pump but I may as well get the issue settled while it's on me mind. My Display Unit appears to be working fine and I don't wanna bypass/trash the can on it unless I can confirm the tank level circuit is OoC.

Can't get to the fuses under the driver's seat until the rain lets up. Have to remove the swheel AND seat first cause I put the blamed swivel base back on whilst installing newer seats! BTW, I checked the wires under the driver's seat while R&Ring the area and short of actually measuring them with an ohmmeter everything seemed fine there.
