Our first voyage in our Westy was in April 96 down 101 & 1 to San Fran and back. Lots of great memories, but priorities have changed somewhat with kids, so we're more inclined to find a nice spot with lots to do (swimming, hiking, fishing) and stay for a while. For the last few years, we've often found a nice spot for a stopover, and found ourselves still there 7-10 days later (Premier Lake and Kingdom Lake come to mind). Sometimes makes for a big rush to get home at the end, but worth it for the extended rest.

Thanks, we'll keep this in mind. We often travel the BC interior this way, and have found some great spots.

Ours is a white '88 2wd Westy with FUNKGRUVN in green letters on the rear window. The spelling of this decal mysteriously changed as soon as our daughter was able to pronounce the previous version... ;-)
