Subject: Amsoil oil question
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hey all,

As a sort of follow up to my questions about changing an oil filter with a full engine of oil... I just found out from the PO of my '86, that for the last year or so he had been using Amsoil "European Formula" oil. I checked out the Amsoil site, and this is the only oil I find with "european" in the title:

It's a 5w-40, which I know isn't right for the WBX, although it seems to run fine... I am in the Bay Area, CA...so the temperatures are pretty moderate.

Looking at Amsoil's other offerings, this stuff looks right for WBX's:

I know about the Mobil 1 15w-50 and used to run it in my old van.

and I know there's been tons of discussion about oil and the WBX, but I hadn't seen much about Amsoil specifically.

Any other suggestions?

thanks! /james
