The knobs from a contemporary Jetta/Golf are very similar except the Jetta has round cable ends. Vanagons are straight ends. If you can make a nice round ends on your cables, you can use the A3 Jetta stuff. I was experimenting with these a year ago. I just couldn't make those perfect round ends. Maybe one of these days. Right now I'm busy trying to install a DPD AC (llike Behr only easier to install). These were dealered installed in dash AC's just like the Behrs. Does anyone have a link to that web page what has pictures of a blue > VWSA T3? I don't have the link handy but all the 5-cyl SA vans routed their exhausts that way. Even the Overland Eurospec 5-cyl kit ran exhaust the same way. Supposed to sounds better.
