Oh, but I haven’t finished that bus-to-boat conversion yet, so she’s not
ready for the swim to Mozambique. From there we could drive up to, uh,
northern Scotland – should we go via Gibraltar or the Middle East, you
think? From Scotland she’d have to swim to Greenland, and then from
Greenland to Labrador – brrrr! From there we could drive, though. And we
would indeed make it in record time – though possibly not two weeks.
But she isn’t ready for the swims yet. She might never talk to me again if
I made her do that.
Okay, I better stop now before Jim scolds me for sending nonsense to the
list!!!!

Hi, Joy!
I'll bet Matilda could make the drive from Madagascar to GR in record time!
;-)
We miss you, too and your wonderful photgraphy of our events!

Wish I could, I'm feeling withdrawal pangs from the vanagon community these
days. I need to get back on the road for real!
But at the moment I'm gainfully employed in Madagascar, which is rather too
far to travel to get to Buses by the Beach. It's too bad, I'd much better
be there! But that income thing, it does rear it's snake-like head from
time to time, so I can't turn down work!
On the other hand, I do see a fair number of vanagons here in Antananarivo!
A surprising number of double cabs, actually. And for those partial to
another cool vehicle, most of the taxis here are old deux chevaux!
