With the idle stabilizer bypassed the timing is advanced to 30+ , RPM is around 2000, when I try to lower the timing by turning the distrubtor the RPM falls too low before the timing gets back to the correct setting, the engine dies at about 15 degees BTDC, cannot get to 5 degrees ATDC which is what it is supposed to be set to at 900-1000 RPM. I am having trouble with the RPM staying up so I can bring the timing back. Why?? It's got to be something simple, what am I missing.. Phil
