they will fit, but it will look stupid.

I installed rear syncro springs for a cross country trip pulling a trailer with a Subie powered Vanagon. Even with a 2000 pound trailer the van was still riding way too high...

you could try springs from a 1985 2wd van, 1985 was the highest springs for 2WD vans...
