I'm curious what police dept is was. Suppose the cop is an alcoholic somewhat himself ? This is outside of 'proper law and order.'

That is a heck of a story. 'course hindsight is always 20/20. Ya shoulda huffed and puffed, gotten red in the face, made your eyes turn read - then told that cop that by god if he didn't check her for booze you were going to make a stink that could be smelled from here to Washington..... then waited for the some witness to hear you and say it again. That's crap. You need to go after that guy, as well as after her. That cop was derelect in his duty.
