Dang.

I pmailed a diesel head about which Caravan air filter box to use, but got no response. On Alistair Bells' website, I found a link that showed air filter box was from a V6.

I got the 3.3 --- :^(

When I was pulling it, I noticed that the outlet to the TB is opposite the air intake snorkel. Not the same as pic online IIRC, but I pulled it anyway.

Is this the only issue?

Regardless of air filter box type, in the back of my mind, I gave myself 3 options for placing the box. This should make it possible to use this box.

1. In PS tail light area. In this case, I need to find a way to adapt intake pipe to the oval shape male outlet part of box.

2. Put box in place of the stock air cooled location. One drawback I saw is that the snorkel would point toward the front. But with minor mods, it looks like I can turn the box lid 180* so intake and outlet are on same end of box.

3. Put box in DS tail light area.

I know these solutions require time to make them work, but it shouldn't be much. When I compare driving time and fuel to get another one, compared to doing this work, doing the work seems more efficient.

Neil.
