dear neil i returned from seattle to powell river with all my wifes belongings ... the 89 california was crammed full to the gunnel's ... just slightly over 5600 Kilograms gross vehicle weight... i can assure you MPH was not delinquent in any way ... 15" michlean go westy tire pkg ... the new 1,9 diesel ... the 5 speed OEM transmission shifted along at the usual high speeds it was like i was pulling nothing at all /// the customs officer did make note of the weight he judged from the low rider appearance i can report we flew along the road with the greatest of ease ... no joke ... MPH was never a problem except when my wife thought i was exceeding .. ;O) yours
