I finally heeded everyones advice and replaced the majority of my fuel lines. Just in time too, several pieces were cracked and on the verge of letting go. I didn't do the long runs between the fuel tank and the firewall yet. Those lines were a smaller diameter hard plastic material, maybe polyethylene. Sould I replace these lines too? They look to be in good shape. However, the way the factory joined the two types of tubing by just slipping the smaller tube inside inside the larger one looks pretty sketchy to me. Any advice on these?? Walter 1985 Vanagon 1.9 |
