Westfalia installed the auxiliary battery under my drivers set as part of the conversion of my '87 Wolfsburg Edition Camper. I replaced the original group 41 battery in 2001 with yellow top Optima mounted on its side, terminals facing front. It still works fine with the stock relay setup. Tim
