A friend of mine killed his Costco group 48 camping battery by using it as a deep deep cycle battery too much.

He paid over $80 for it in 2007.

Yesterday we took it to Costco in California, they gave us a full refund, no hassle.

The new group 48 now costs $49 (+$9 battery fee in CA)

Bottom line, we got a brand new battery, and a $30 store credit for bringing them a trashed battery.

Gotta like Costco...
