on Paul Guzyk's advice I just installed a group 48 as the aux battery. it fits perfectly in height and depth, and leaves a little space on the side for all your aux wiring and a surepower 1315 relay. Cannot imagine wanting any other size there. no cutting of any sort required. Florian
