Don't you mean to say "remove the tie rod end from the steering arm" ? if so that was one of my original questions on if one needs a tool to pull the tie rod end off the arm as I thought it was pressed in.

The tie rod is NOT pressed into the end of the rod at the rack. It is screwed in !! Get and new tie rod and look at it or look in your Bentley. At the rack end of the tie rod is a ball joint with flat sides for a wrench and threads that thread into the rack's rod that moves left and right.
