A little different maybe. Here's what I did. I blew the fuse and soldered the Aux power wire onto the lower spade of the fuse. You have to dig away some of the plastic that covers the conductors. This is low profile and is held in pretty tight. The fun part of course is blowing the fuse. You need to make sure it is COMPLETELY blown. Also reversable by taping it off and re-installing the original fuse.
