Well, while I'm sure there are probably some major fire-safety improvements with the Subaru engine over the WBX, I can honestly say that I just pulled out some pretty unsafe stuff out of what my PO called "HIS" Suby conversion...and what I am now calling MY "RE-Conversion."

Un-safe, improperly sized and non-pressure rated fuel hose - poorly installed...o-rings connecting hardline fuel lines to the injectors that should have been replaced years ago (crushed beyond recognition and clearly seeping)...inadequate connections at the firewall...I can go on with other examples of the "mechanical monkery" that I found, but I'll stop here.

Basically what I'm saying is that fuel lines are something that need to be maintained and periodically changed out regardless of the motor. Also, to be clear - I'm not trying to negate or mis-read Chris's statement, just add to it with this thought since it is fresh in my mind...waiting on my last few parts and my "re-conversion" will be done!

Those are some pretty horrific pictures - Benny, please do not pass on the baby pic...
