Westfalia installed the auxiliary battery under my drivers set as part of the conversion of my '87 Wolfsburg Edition Camper. I replaced the original group 41 battery in 2001 with yellow top Optima mounted on its side, terminals facing front. It still works fine with the stock relay setup.

The driver's seems the best electrically but the passenger's seems the best accessibility-wise. I suppose it's low maintenance, so electrically wins out?

Thanks!
