For most people, email is something they check regularly, so get list messages (often from multiple lists) as part of their normal routine - no having to remember to go check a web site for new messages (for each of several lists). There are some options which allow both web and email access. I'm not necessarily opposed to that, as long as it doesn't send spam as part of each message, or allow attachments (pictures, etc.). |
