I've been following other threads but am hesitant to add our issue to the hesitation thread. Our van starts and runs well but wants to stall when it slows down at a light. Aggressive restarting works sometimes, if not, we leave it for 20 minutes and it starts just fine. We are taking it to our mechanic tomorrow and am trying to narrow down the issue for him. We have recently changed the plugs, wires, rotor and cap and the fuel filter. It runs slightly better but still wants to stall. No problems with highway driving - just in the city. Any ideas? I should also mention that our 84 van was equipped with a 76 fuel filter and the one for the 84 did not fit. Is this a common thing? So we got another '76 filter to replace it. The original one was made in Israel, which made me happy but puzzled at the same time. Chris (Winnipeg) |
