I'm glad you tried it, Mike; I've been meaning to since reading that thread. I don't like that such a pricey part can't be inspected nor is there a know test for it's functionality.

The reason for my question is I'm putting a rebuilt Boston Bob 2.1 into my '85 Westy and transferring many things over from the old engine. I cleaned up the breather tower and "Tried" to test it. Blowing and sucking on the hose nipple makes me think the tower is "Straight through" and only functioning as a vapor separator. Sigh ...
