Spent the last week replacing the exhaust on my 86 2wd. After much nagging of the list I decided to go with the OEM setup. Everything went pretty smooth even for a hack like me. Yesterday I started it up and oh my god.....It is so quiet! I wonder just how leaky that old exhaust was? I mean this thing is night and day. When I get home from work today I'm going to drive the beast around the block a little bit and get her up to temp. Some tune up crap and a look at my fuel lines and I'm ready to roll unless the inspection man hassles me.

Now the exhaust I removed, the muffler/tail pipe is shot but the header could be cleaned up and any offending cracks welded, am I nuts? Should I just put the whole thing out for the junk man? Anybody want a header system for free in PA?

Ryan
