Any idea what the valve ID is?

I'm still learning to read 'vanagon' with me Bentley.  I've the same
problem, possibly not as bad as Slloth, with the heat coming thru both lower
and defrost vents.  I want to deal with it/replace it before I leave for
vacation next week.
