Easy fix when tranny is out of van. No special tools required. Hardest (messiest) part is cleaning up all the gook before installing the new seals. Where your worst clothes, have lots of dirty rags, plastic scraper, and brake parts cleaner on hand.

Newly sealed tranny should not leak for many more years. Change ATF and final drive gear oil while you are at it.

To seal up good, replace the: seal between a/t and final drive (very large O-ring and paper gasket) VC.ATSEALS Automatic oil pan seal, screen filter, and gasket, 010.398.009 final drive oil pan gasket 090.507.215, The Governor O-ring 003.325.381.

The final drive oil pan gasket is expensive (~$43), you could skip it and make one with The RightStuff if you had to...or reuse your old one with a thin layer of RightStuff if not damaged.

When torque converter is out, check the inside of the bellhousing for signs of oil, you may also need to replace the torque converter "input shaft" seal also 003.519.089D

part numbers above are from Volkscafe (mmm....cookies) but all the usual vendors should have them.
