Hi there,

Let me start off by saying i am embarrassed to write this email. I need to source some parts for my mechanic and as you will quickly see I am short on the parts lingo. I'd talk with my supplier directly but he's under the weather, and since my van is half disassembled I just don't have the time. I tremendously appreciate any and all responses!

I have an 85 Westfalia GL, automatic transmission. I am installing a 2.1 in its place and have been told by the supplier it bolts right in.

First of all I need a new water pump and oxygen sensor. Should i be ordering 1.9 parts or 2.1 parts?

Fuel filter - would I use the canister or box style?

Ok now here's where it gets dicey lingo-wise. There is some sort of crankshaft position indicator that was seized in my old motor. I need one of those.

Second, a breather hose (from engine to intake).

Third, the hose connecting the intake manifold to the runners

Last but not least some sort of firewall coolant hose connector.

Anybody know what the proper names are or ideally the part number?

Thanks in advance Jeff 85 Westfalia GL soon to be 2.1
