All i know is, if the emails stop, i'll be lost and entirely without an
excuse for enjoying my computer so much.
TheSamba and Vortex and other bulletin board sites are great, they have a
purpose and they do it well. Yahoo groups tend to work 'okay', but in my
mind really do not succeed amazingly in any one department. I think
everything has its place, and the vanagon list is meant to be in email form.
If you disagree, the options of dissinguaging yourself from the list, or
subjecting yourself to "Digest Mode" exist, but as for me, it keeps me
entertained! I've learned so much, made some great friends, and had plenty
of fun thanks entirely to this vanagon list, in it's current form. Yes, i
like the friday sillyness and completely off topic contents, and yes, i like
the fact that more often than not the topics rarely end with the same
content they began with or what's indicated in the subject line. But we
learn enough about eachother through these little hints, that we have more
than just a list, more than just a bulletin board, we have a community.

Kill the list, and the community will die as we know it. It may carry on,
but not like this. This is, just bliss.
