This is in response to Mr. Coyotes suggestion below.

Hi all.

This is an invitation to try a "mock up" of a google group I just created.

http://groups.google.com/group/vanagons-with-vw-inline-4-gas-conversions

If you have the time, feel free to start some subjects and see how it navigates. I'm not saying it's the answer. Just providing the google group interface to try out.

I am the owner, but a newb to this. i.e. hopefully the address I supplied is correct. I'll make sure.

Though a mock up, it is functional and people are invited to join and contribute their Vanagon VW inline 4 gas engine conversion knowledge.

Cheers,

Neil.

Good to know that many like the simple e-mail system.

The other list I'm on that has the 8,000 or so people all voted to stay with the e-mail listserv system. They upgraded from like version 1.5 or something like that to 14.5 or so. Big jump. But everybody is happy. There is something about the directness of the e-mail list that keeps the community closer together. To me it is so simple to use.

I would suggest using google groups. It operates just like a mailing list, but is also accessible and searchable via the web. And unlike Gerry, google's search features are FAST.
