Subject: shielded wire for oxygen sensor?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

I'm planning on running a wire from my oxygen sensor up to the front of the van for a air/fuel mixture gauge (i.e., voltmeter). I'm planning on running a wire off where the wiring harness connector is in the engine bay. I've heard the the oxygen sensor wire is shielded, and figure I better use shielded wire to run back there from the front. The only shielded wire I saw at radio shack was double-wire audio cable.

Is the shielded wire necessary? Any ideas where I could find some thin shielded wire locally?

(In case it matters, my sensor is the 1-wire style.)

Thanks! -Wes '83 1.9l vanagon.
