Hi Jeff,

Did the previous owner leave the plate where the latch post was? It looks like two flat plates wuth a 1"X1" square tubing welded across. That's the piece that the latching stud is attached to. I can't recall but I think the original holes for regular benches are still under that plate. I will have to look tomorrow.
