Several of us pointed out that a Vanagon is not a great platform for an EV -- and that if it was a financial burden to buy a tankful of diesel how in the world would he afford a proper EV conversion? I don't think we were naysaying as much as trying to be realistic. I personally think a Vanagon would be an interesting platform for a a hybrid -- but not a very practical pure EV.
